Dec 1, 2015- The UCPN (Maoist) has insisted on the need of sorting out ongoing Madhes problems though a political process.
The Central Committee meeting of the party kicked off at the party central office Parisdanda called for addressing the Madhes unrest at the earliest, concluding that the normal life was adversely affected by the prolonged Madhes problems and India's unofficial blockade on the country.
Such adverse situation facing the country for many days has pushed the country's economy to a severe crisis.
In today's meeting, party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal presented a 27-page political report on the country's current political scenario and party future course of action.
Dahal in the report focused on the settling the political disputes through a political way and other technical matters on the basis of political consensus.
The UCPN (M) central committee meeting took place for the first time after its senior leader Dr Baburam Bhattarai announced his isolation from the party agreed to call on split leaders Mohan Baidya, Mani Thapa, Matrika Yadav for reunion.
Talking to media persons after the meeting, Party Spokesperson Dinanath Sharma confirmed that central members were given a day (Wednesday) to study the report, and the meeting would be held again Thursday.
Standing committee member Lokendra Bista Magar who has been out of the party for a long time was also present during the meeting today.
