1. Job position: Senior Project Officer (Infrastructure)
This is a special fixed-term appointment for a period of one (1) year following Section 3.1 (c) of Administrative Order No. 2.01 ("Recruitment and Appointment"). This appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment. It may be extended on exceptional basis for a further fixed period at the option of ADB, if the position continues to be required. This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.
If the successful candidate is an ADB staff member holding a regular appointment, his/her regular appointment will be converted to a special fixed-term appointment. A special fixed-term appointment will automatically and without prior notice expire at the end of the term.

Job Purpose
The senior project officer will contribute to the Resident Mission (RM) by supporting and/or leading loan/Technical Assistance (TA) processing and administration associated with ADB's earthquake reconstruction support and supports NRM's relevant country portfolio management activities. The incumbent will report to a designated International Staff.
Qualifications
Relevant Experience and Requirements
> Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related infrastructure and management fields.
> Master's degree would be an advantage, along with experience in building projects and associated procurement and contract management.
> Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in project management and implementation.
> Experience & knowledge of various stages of the project cycle (project planning / feasibility analysis / detailed design / project implementation / construction supervision / contract management) is desirable.
> Sound knowledge of government administrative systems and procedures.
> Familiarity with accepted best practices of procurement and disbursement processes.
> Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
