Kathmandu, Oct 25: Talks were held on Sunday between the government and the Federal Madhesi Front (FMF) led by Nepal Sadbhavana Party chairman Anil Jha.
The meeting that took place at the Nepal Sadbhavana Party parliamentary party office in Singha Durbar reached an agreement to constitute a talks committee to seek an outlet to the agitation that is taking place of late in the Madhes.
Representing the government side in the talks were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa, Minister for General Administration Rekha Sharma and Minister without Portfolio Ram Janam Chaudhary while the Front was represented by the Front coordinator Anil Jha, president of the Lok Dal party Kushal Kumar Singh and Bahujan Samaj Party chairman Ganga Prasad Mahara.
After the talks, coordinator Jha complained that the government did not show any concern even when there was an agitation going on in the Madhes for 72 days.
